Mohammed al-Sallak, former spokesman for the head of the Presidential Council, confirmed a clear duality between the American and UN plans. Despite agreeing on the general framework, they differ in many details, he stated in exclusive remarks to “Erem News.”
Al-Sallak clarified that the United States is inclined to support its system of interests through trade deals and by securing the southern region—describing it as a gateway for irregular migration and terrorist groups and adjacent to African countries where Russian influence is expanding—noting that it does not appear to support a clear strategic option for a sustainable solution in Libya.
