Benghazi – Hajar Al-Majbari, Media Coordinator for the Emergency Medicine and Support Center – Benghazi Office, confirmed the center’s activities. It continued training programs, field services, and awareness initiatives. These occurred during the second half of 2025. This was part of its plan. The plan aims to enhance medical response efficiency. It also seeks to promote health awareness. The center serves various community segments.
Al-Majbari explained that the center concluded a specialized training course. This course prepared and qualified emergency trainers. Another course was organized. It enhanced emergency skills. This focused on first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The goal was to prepare staff. They should be capable of efficiently handling critical cases.
Regarding awareness, she noted a lecture at the Police Officers’ College. It covered influenza risks and prevention methods. A medical clinic point also opened within the college. This was with direct support from the center. It provides immediate healthcare to college members.
In institutional partnerships, the media coordinator stated the center met with the Benina International Airport director. They discussed ways to enhance medical services inside the airport. The center also participated in a workshop. It assessed and categorized public health risks at the airport. This supports the health safety system in vital facilities.
She also noted that the field emergency medical point at Benina International Airport continued its services. It provided medical care to travelers. Prevention and safety measures also continued within the center. This ensures readiness for emergencies and disasters.
She reported that the center’s ambulance and movement unit continued field efforts. These efforts took place in several areas across Libya. This supported rapid response. It also provided ambulance services in various conditions.
In community engagement, Al-Majbari stated the center participated in events. It marked the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims at the Libyan International University. It also joined World Breast Cancer Awareness Day activities. An humanitarian initiative was launched. It targeted residents of the nursing home in Massa.
The center also announced the opening of a specialized clinic. It treats cases resulting from irregular migration. This responds to health challenges associated with this phenomenon. The center also participated in the seventh Summer Forum. The “Ibadina” Solidarity Association organized it.
In sports and religious fields, the center followed the African Champions League events. It provided medical coverage for the Al-Hilal Libyan vs. Horoya Conakry match. It also offered medical services to pilgrims (Hajj) for the 1446 AH / 2025 season.
Al-Majbari concluded her statement by affirming the Benghazi Emergency Medicine and Support Center’s commitment. It will continue developing its training and field programs. It will also enhance its community presence in the coming phase. This contributes to improving emergency health services. It also supports the public safety system.
