Libyan Oil Minister, Mohamed Aoun, discussed with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al-Ghais, issues related to the oil and gas sector, given that Libya is one of the most important basic partners within the organization.
The Oil Ministry announced the arrival of the OPEC Secretary-General on Tuesday to Tripoli, where he was received at Mitiga International Airport by Minister Aoun.
Libyan oil production decreased by about 10 thousand barrels a day during February, with the stagnation of local oil projects and the recovery of production in African countries, which made Libya lose its position in the list of African countries producing black gold, to become the third instead of the second, the position it occupied last December.
