The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, has invited members of the House to attend an “official session” in the city of Benghazi on Thursday, September 15.
This was announced by the spokesman of the parliament, Abdullah Blehaq, in a statement published on his Facebook page.
The session follows Saleh’s three-day visit to Doha, where he met the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the chairman of the Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdulla Al Ghanim, and the deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
During the visit, Saleh discussed with officials in Qatar the latest developments of the political situation in Libya, how to strengthen the cooperative relations between the two countries, as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
