Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush participated in the Chadian peace negotiations held today in Doga under the auspices of Qatar.
During her opening remarks in the meeting, Mangoush highlighted the importance of relations between Libya and Chad since “the instability of one of them affects the national security of the other country”.
She explained that instability on the Libyan-Chadian borders has spread out across the wider region, which “has become a haven for human smugglers, drug and arms dealers, terrorism and mercenaries.”
The Libyan chief diplomat commended the Chadian parties for coming to the negation table, and emphasized that Libya is “fully prepared to help”.
