Cape Town – The African Energy Chamber (AEC) in the South African capital, Cape Town, has announced the selection of the young Libyan woman, Rana Monsef Mostafa Badi, to its “20 Rising Women in Energy Under 40” list for the African continent, making her the first Libyan and the only Arab woman to be included in this prestigious initiative.
This initiative highlights young female leaders in the energy sector and honors their contributions to innovation and community leadership. The Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber, NJ Ayuk, affirmed that the honored women represent the future of the continent’s energy sector, expressing the importance of empowering women and their active role in bringing about positive and sustainable changes.
Rana Badi currently holds the position of Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at the French company “Total” and has over ten years of experience in corporate social responsibility, digital transformation, and communications. She also earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the Libyan Academy in 2022.
Rana Badi is set to be officially honored during the African Energy Week event, which will be held on September 24th in South Africa.
