Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will participate in an international conference on Libya, which is going to take place in Paris on November 12, the press service of the Russian Embassy in France told TASS on Friday.
Turkey will not participate in the Paris International Conference on Libya scheduled for 12 November, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he told reporters on Monday.
Representatives of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and Banque de France met in Paris to discuss cooperation on micro-finance management and investment, CBL said in a statement on Sunday.
It is “very unlikely” that Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will be able to go to the international summit on Libya which France is hosting on November 12, Italian news agency Nova reports.
American Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Paris in November to participate in the conference on Libya with a range of other foreign leaders, her spokesperson said in a statement.
The United States, Britain, France, Germany and Italy threatened sanctions against individuals or groups that seek to undermine peace and political transition in Libya as the general elections in the country looms.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Wednesday he would the Libya Stability Conference, held in Tripoli on Thursday, France 24 reported.
