Tripoli Security Directorate called on people affected by Friday clashes to go to the nearest police station or criminal investigation office, in order to prove the incident and take legal action regarding it.

UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has said it received reports of clashes in Tripoli Friday night between armed groups, “which endangered the lives of civilians, and separately of mobilization of armed groups, along with heavy weapons, from areas surrounding Tripoli.”
European Union ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell, has described the armed clashes that erupted in Tripoli Friday evening as “shocking and shameful”.
The French Foreign Ministry has called on Libyan parties to refrain from violence and respect the ceasefire agreement, after clashes erupted in Tripoli between armed groups loyal to the outgoing prime minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, and the new prime minister, Fathi Bashagha.
The Libyan Democratic Party has called on the international community to take effective and realistic steps to support the holding of elections in Libya, foremost among which is “supporting a legitimate and agreed government, capable of facilitating the holding of elections in various parts of the country.”
The Libyan Interior Ministry condemned the armed confrontations in Tripoli on Monday evening between armed groups affiliated to the Presidential Council and the Interior Ministry of Dbeibeh’s government.
U.S. Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, said Libyans do not wish to see a repeat of the civil conflict of the past, and the best hope for stability lies in the elections scheduled for December.
