Libyan parliamentary delegation continued to hold talks with a number of Turkish stakeholders in Ankara today, according to Abdullah Blehaq, the spokesman of Libya’s House of Representatives.
Fawzi Al-Nuwari, Acting Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives, met on Wednesday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara to discuss “bilateral relations and cooperation”, Libyan lawmaker Issa Al-Araibi told The Libya Update.
The Turkey-held talks of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee on the exist of foreign forces had “achieved positive and very encouraging results,” an official of the Libyan National Army (LNA) told the press on Monday.
Libya’s 5+5 Joint Military Committee have met with international monitors who will start their work as soon as a date is set for the exit of foreign forces, a member of the committee told the press on Friday.
US Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland said he has made useful consultations in Ankara on a broad agenda including the electoral process in Libya.

A source at the Libyan 5+5 Joint Military Committee (JMC) said that it is likely that the Committee will set a timetable and specific dates to remove mercenaries from Libya directly after a meeting to be held next month in Turkey, and then in another meeting in Russia.
