Waddan – Food and Drug Control inspectors in both Waddan and Zliten, in cooperation with branches of the Municipal Guard, carried out extensive inspection campaigns covering commercial businesses and restaurants to ensure their compliance with approved health and technical requirements.
In Waddan, the campaign resulted in the detection of multiple violations, including poor levels of hygiene, a lack of licenses for some businesses, the seizure of expired food products and vegetables unfit for consumption, as well as the absence of pest control programs. Legal measures were taken, including the confiscation of the non-compliant materials and the sealing of some shops with red wax.
As for Zliten, the inspection focused on restaurants, where violations related to non-compliance with health standards and storage conditions were recorded, with regulatory authorities confirming the continuation of periodic campaigns to preserve public health and consumer safety.
