Sirte – Paving work continues on the new “Aasht Libya” road in the city of Sirte, part of a package of major road projects launched by the General Command through the National Development Agency. The initiative is aimed at addressing traffic congestion and moving the city toward broader horizons of stability and urban prosperity.
The new dual carriageway extends for 5 kilometers, with each side measuring 10 meters wide and containing three lanes. The project also includes the construction of a safe roundabout with a 60-meter diameter traffic island, which will enhance traffic flow and add a sophisticated, modern dimension to the city’s infrastructure.
The “Aasht Libya” road paving project is nearing its final stages of completion and is set to be a significant addition connecting central Sirte to the airport road and on to Dubai Street. This will make it a vital artery that enhances the city’s position on the urban development map and helps improve the level of services and quality of life for its citizens.
