Audit Bureau follows up on the supply of fuels in the presence of the Central Bank, Oil, and Finance

The Audit Bureau monitors the fuel supply issue. This occurred in the presence of the Central Bank, National Oil Corporation, and Finance Ministry.

Audit Bureau President Khaled Shakshak chaired an expanded meeting. It took place at the Bureau’s headquarters. Participants included the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya. The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation attended. The Minister of Finance was also present. The Chairman of the Management Committee of the Libyan Foreign Bank participated. Its General Manager also joined. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance was there. A representative from the Public Prosecutor’s Office attended. An advisor to the Minister of Finance also joined. Several directors of specialized departments at the Bureau participated. The meeting focused on the fuel supply issue. It aimed to ensure the regular flow of fuel nationwide.

The meeting emphasized full adherence to the public tender outcomes. This applies to fuel supply. It ensures contracts are executed according to approved legal frameworks. It also guarantees transparency in all stages. These include supply, payment, and distribution.

Attendees emphasized the importance of optimal financial resource utilization. They called for rationalizing expenditures related to fuel. This enhances the efficiency of public fund management. It also limits waste.

The need for practical measures was underscored. These measures aim to prevent fuel smuggling. They will also enhance oversight and tracking mechanisms. This contributes to tightening control over the distribution system. It ensures supplies reach their rightful beneficiaries. This adheres to approved regulations.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing continued institutional coordination. It stressed consolidating principles of transparency. Accountability was also highlighted. This supports economic stability. It protects state resources.
