The Namaa Organization for Development and Culture supervised the first day. Dr. Murad Saleh Bouajleel gave a scientific presentation. His presentation covered the concept of the circular economy. He also discussed mechanisms for sorting plastic waste. He spoke about investing in plastic waste. This presents an economic opportunity. It helps reduce pollution. It supports local development. University and technical college students participated.
Ali Al-Ghazali is the director of the Namaa Organization. He oversees the project. He told the Libyan News Agency that the workshop aims to empower youth. It seeks to equip them with knowledge and practical skills. This is in sustainable waste management. It connects environmental concepts to daily life. This positively impacts individual and collective behavior towards the environment.
Al-Ghazali explained the second day of training focused on environmental education. Participants discussed the importance of early awareness. They highlighted the role of educational institutions. This integration should be in educational programs. It should also be in community activities.
He noted the “Green Plastic” project is supported by the European Union in Libya. It is part of the “Let’s Cooperate” project activities. It aims to raise youth awareness. This includes the impact of daily consumption patterns on the environment. It encourages reducing single-use plastics. It supports recycled products.
