The head of the Kufra Emergency Room, Idris al-Mahjoub, denied what is being circulated regarding the spread of any disease among Sudanese refugees in Libya, stressing that what is published on this subject is baseless, and that any ongoing case will be officially announced with a notification to citizens via the Ministry of Health. Al-Mahjoub explained that a delegation from the Ministry of Health, headed by the Undersecretary General, visited the displaced persons in the city of Kufra a week ago, based on instructions from Deputy Commander-in-Chief Saddam Haftar, where a rapid survey and comprehensive health monitoring were conducted.
The survey results confirmed that the health situation is sound so far, and there is no outbreak of any epidemic or serious disease among the refugees.
