The Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Health in the Libyan Government, Abdussalam Aqila, conducted an inspection visit to the municipality of Zintan, during which he met with the Mayor of the Municipal Council, Al-Taher Abu Janah, and council members to discuss ways to support the health services provided to citizens through health institutions.
Discussion of the Health Sector’s Situation
The meeting, held at the Municipal Council headquarters, addressed the evaluation of the health sector’s situation in Zintan, identifying the actual needs of health facilities, in addition to addressing the shortage of human resources, and working on the maintenance of centers and the development of their infrastructure.
The Ministry’s Commitment to Reform and Development
Aqila affirmed that the Ministry of Health is proceeding with the implementation of its strategy aimed at reform and enhancing the efficiency of medical staff, to ensure the provision of the best health services to citizens.
Field Visit under Leadership’s Instructions
He pointed out that his visit came under the instructions of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, First Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, and based on the directives of the Prime Minister, where he was briefed on the workflow and listened to the observations of medical and administrative staff regarding the most prominent challenges and needs.
