Al-Marj – The Turkish company Ekipe began preliminary work on the Martyrs of Dignity Stadium project in Al-Marj. The National Development Authority is overseeing its implementation. This is part of its plan to develop sports infrastructure. The work included preparing and equipping the site. This was done according to approved technical specifications.
A field headquarters was established for project management. This ensures smooth workflow and onsite monitoring. Technical teams completed comprehensive land surveying. They precisely set axes, levels, and coordinate points. Soil tests were also conducted. Technical drawings and plans were approved. This paves the way for construction work to begin.
It will follow the approved timeline. A statement from the National Development Authority said the project has a capacity of 20,000 spectators. It is one of four international stadiums being built by the authority. This is part of its sports infrastructure development plan.
Other stadium projects are in Sirte, Ajdabiya, and Sabha. This supports the sports sector. It enhances the ability of Libyan cities to host competitions and events. All work will adhere to international standards.
