The Public Prosecution is filing a lawsuit against an employee. The employee works at the Civil Registry Office in Al-Dafniya. The charge is forging family records. This forgery allowed the issuance of 24 national ID numbers to non-Libyans.

The Public Prosecution filed a criminal lawsuit. The suit is against an employee at the Civil Registry Office in Al-Dafniya. The employee is accused of deliberately forging family records.

Investigations by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Misrata uncovered the forgery. The Public Prosecution confirmed this. A prosecutor was assigned to a committee. This committee investigates civil status data forgery. It operates within the Misrata Public Prosecutor’s Office. The prosecutor gathered information. This included evidence of the employee forging family records.

The Public Prosecution reported the forgery’s consequences. It enabled non-Libyan individuals to obtain 24 national ID numbers. This facilitated their acquisition of citizenship rights.

National ID numbers under investigation have been suspended. Related documents are being rectified. The perpetrator of the forgery has been referred to the judiciary. The Public Prosecution confirmed the investigator verified the facts. He ordered the suspension of the national ID numbers. He also mandated the rectification of related extracts. Necessary steps were taken to file a criminal lawsuit. This lawsuit is against the individual who committed the forgery.
