Tripoli – The Central Tripoli Municipality, in cooperation with a committee from the Ministry of Health, has begun field visits to assess local health centers and identify their needs. This initiative follows instructions from the prime minister during his recent visit to the municipality. The goal is to improve healthcare services for residents.
The team visited several health centers, including the Al-Manshiya and Meizran Street centers. The visits were overseen by Abdulatti Al-Sharif, a municipal council member responsible for health and environmental hygiene; Osama Al-Ahmar, a council member for economic development and investment; and Ezzedine Al-Mijrab, head of health affairs at the Central Tripoli Municipality.
The assessment focused on the centers’ needs for medicines, medical supplies, equipment, and devices. The committee also evaluated the condition of the buildings and infrastructure in preparation for maintenance. Additionally, they reviewed the need for medical and support staff. The initiative aims to address shortcomings and enhance the efficiency of the facilities.
These efforts are part of ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Health and the Central Tripoli Municipality to develop the health sector and improve the quality of services within the municipality.
