Zawiya – The Zawiya Criminal Court sentenced three defendants to death. They were convicted in a case involving the kidnapping and killing of a woman during 2023. The court also issued a ten-year prison sentence against a fourth defendant who is a minor.
The Public Prosecution filed the public lawsuit against the four defendants. The prosecution stated they conspired to commit criminal acts. The Zawiya Criminal Court then reviewed the case in its latest session.
The court convicted the first, second, and fourth defendants for the kidnapping and murder of the victim (F. A. A.). It sentenced them to the death penalty.
The court also sentenced the first and second defendants to eighty lashes for the crime of drinking alcohol. The third defendant, a minor, received a ten-year prison sentence.
