Sirte – Urologists at Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte have successfully performed 33 surgical operations on patients from various Libyan cities.
A medical source at the hospital told the “WAL” correspondent in Sirte that the operations ranged from kidney stone fragmentation, urethral reconstruction, endoscopic prostate resection, to the insertion and removal of stents.
The operations were supervised by the consultant urological surgeon and Head of the Urology Department at the hospital, Dr. Imran Aburqaiqa, with the participation of Dr. Ezzedine Ajaj, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Amari, and Dr. Miftah Al-Naqqa. This was in addition to the anesthesia team, which included Dr. Hassan bin Sertieh, Dr. Suleiman Afhima, Dr. Safaa Al-Zein, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Sahabi, along with the auxiliary medical staff in the surgery and anesthesia departments.
The source confirmed that these operations are part of the hospital’s efforts to provide specialized medical services to patients from various regions of Libya and reflect the level of competence and medical expertise of the hospital’s medical team.
