The Government of National Unity did not commit equal distribution of sovereign positions between Libya’s three main region, Aguila Saleh, Speaker of the House of Representatives, said on Wednesday.
The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) referred to the Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis, a copy of Law No. (1) of 2021 regarding electing the President of State and determining his/her duties, powers and conditions for his candidacy.

The Government of National Unity (GNU) responses in Wednesday’s questioning session were general and not convincing on core issues such as spending and tasks assigned to the Government according to the Geneva Agreement, said Member of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Abdul Salam Nassiya.

Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh arrived in Tobruk today, where he will be questioned by the House of Representatives over a number of national issues, including budget, reunification of state institutions, the response to Coronavirus pandemic, the cash liquidity and electricity crises as well as removal of foreign forces.
