DPM invites African investors to invest in Libya

Deputy Prime Minister of the Libyan outgoing government invited on Wednesday African investors to invest in Libya, at the Fifth Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA 2022) conference, held in Tunisia.

The conference is organized by the Tunisian-African Business Council in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Planning, with the participation of no less than 500 political and economic figures from 45 countries and more than 3,500 Tunisian and foreign businessmen.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Libyan outgoing government, Ramadan Abu Janah, participated in the opening of the session, during which discussions were held towards financing the recovery and development of African economies after COVID-19, and bilateral meetings were organized during the conference to develop areas of trade and investment and create communication opportunities among those interested in investing in Africa.

Abu Janah stressed the necessity and importance of establishing “an economic consensus between Libya and Tunisia, especially since Libya is characterized by a strategic and important location in the African continent.”

Abu Janah considered that the conference is also an opportunity to invite investors in Tunisia and African countries to invest in Libya, and then go to the continent of Africa, pointing to the close link between the two countries’ economies.
