Suleiman Al-Harari, the chairman of the House Committee on Internal Affairs, has called on Libyan Libyan authorities, including the House of Representatives, to declare that “the elections cannot be held on December 24 as scheduled”.
Holding Libya’s presidential elections on December 24 “has become impossible,” said Al-Hadi Al-Saghir, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Elections Monitoring.
Libya’s Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush is today in Rome where she is invited to speak at a conference on “New Geopolitical Scenarios in the Mediterranean”, which is hosted by the the University of Rome, according to an announcement on the university’s website.
The High National Elections Commission referred the final report on the stage of appeals in the elections of the President of the State to the committee formed by members of the House of Representatives concerned with following up the electoral process.

The Libyan Presidential Council has commended the meeting of the Chief of General Staff of the Army affiliated to the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Haddad, with the designated General Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Abdul Razek Al-Nadori, on Saturday in Sirte, considering this an important step towards unifying the military institution.
