Resumption of production in Al-Sharara and Al-Fil after completion of Al-Zawiya line maintenance

Tripoli – The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the full resumption of production. This occurred Monday. Production is back at Al-Sharara and Al-Fil fields. This follows maintenance work. The work was on the crude oil export pipeline. This pipeline connects the fields. It also connects to the storage yard at Zawiya refinery.

The NOC reported a pipeline shutdown. It was due to a fire incident. This occurred at valve number 13. The location was kilometer 538. A leak caused the fire. Specialized teams began immediate repairs. They conducted operational tests. They confirmed the pipeline’s readiness for pumping.

Technical work has been completed. Production recovery started gradually. Production capacity is returning to normal levels. Oil flow through the pipeline is now natural. Production also resumed at the nearby Al-Fil field. It had a temporary halt. This followed the reorganization of oil flow. Oil came from Al-Sharara field via the Mellitah pipeline. This ensured stable supplies during maintenance.

The NOC affirmed ongoing efforts by its technical teams. These efforts ensure operational continuity. They also meet the highest safety standards. This supports the stability of the oil sector. It also enhances the preservation of national wealth. The NOC praised the national workforce’s efforts. They completed maintenance work swiftly. This was achieved despite challenges. The corporation expressed its appreciation. They acknowledged the outstanding work and effort provided.
