The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) has reported on Tuesday that 1,149 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 23 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 16 others died of the virus, while 1,426 have recovered during the same reporting period.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) on Saturday that Turkey’s influence can been seen “throughout the region, from Syria to Libya, and from the Mediterranean to the Caucasus” due to his country’s “military, diplomatic and economic strength” in those places.

The  Government of National Unity did not respond to a request of information made by the United Nations last July over the disappearance of Mansour Al-Maghrabi, the head of the Libyan Red Crescent branch in the eastern city of Ajdabiya, according to a U.N. official.
