Ján Kubiš, the U.N. Special Envoy to Libya, told the Security Council that Libya would “slip back into violence and chaos” if the presidential and parliamentary elections in December were to be disrupted.
Libyan journalist Mahmud El-Forjani said the absence of Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush from the Security Council session held today to discuss the situation in Libya “is a fault committed by the National Unity Government headed by Abdel Hamid Dabaiba.”

A new committee of the House of Representatives, which is tasked with drafting electoral legislations, will hold its first meeting with the High National Election Commission (HNEC) and the U.N.
