Forty three migrants have drowned after their boat sank off Tunisia, the Tunisian Red Crescent said on Saturday. The migrants had set off from the Libyan port of Zuwara and were attempting to cross the Mediterranean to reach Europe.
UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said proposals that do not make the Libyan elections feasible and possible to hold on 24 December will not be entertained.

This came in a meeting between diplomats from Egypt and Cyprus that dealt with relations between the two countries and regional issues.
Athens, Greece | The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, chancellor Aguila Saleh, stressed the need to remove foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, and to hold the Libyan presidential and parliamentary elections on time on December 24. This came during a meeting with the Speaker of the Greek Parliament Speaker Konstantinos Tasoulas.
ANTALYA, Turkey – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, called for the involvement of all concerned parties in the process of settling the Libyan crisis, including the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), and representatives of the former regime of Gaddafi in the country.
